Wolfie & Lil Photography offers ethical, luxury dog photography in Devon and Dorset. Capturing honest, character-filled portraits of dogs in wild, natural locations across the UK.

Who are Wolfie & Lil?

Hey! I’m Lil, an internationally recognised, dog-obsessed photographer based on the Devon/Dorset border (hello Jurassic Coast!). And Wolfie? He’s my four-legged sidekick, the original muse, and the reason this all began.

At Wolfie & Lil Photography, I create timeless, story-driven portraits of pets in wild, natural locations. Think windswept beaches, mossy forests, golden sunsets - all captured with patience, play, and a deep respect for animal welfare.

My sessions are 100% dog-led and grounded in ethical practice: no forced poses, no high-pressure settings, and absolutely no added stress. Just real dogs, being themselves, in the places they love most.

Confidence isn’t expected - it’s earned.

With a calm approach and a trained eye for light, movement, and expression, Lil captures dogs looking confident, relaxed, and completely themselves.

  • Fine Art

Fine Art photography blends artistry and intention - capturing your dog’s character in natural light and crafting each image into a timeless, wall-worthy piece.

Whether we’re out amongst the imposing granite tors of Dartmoor or in a secure meadow you can be assured the result will be beautiful.

  • Lifestyle

Lifestyle photography captures genuine moments with minimal retouching - a documentary-style approach that’s perfect for dog sports and mini sessions.

Whether training or a competition event, Lil will ensure she captures those finer details with a focus on movement, connection and sport specific skills.

FAQs

  • I believe the best images come from trust, not pressure. My sessions are completely dog-led, meaning no forced poses, and we will always keep stress and pressure to a minimum throughout a session.

Your dog’s comfort and wellbeing are always the top priority and we can create magic from the most simple of set up.

  • I’m based on the Devon/Dorset border, but specialising in wild, natural locations I do not limit my session locations geographically. Sometimes travel is required for those perfect beaches, forests, and moorland spots.

During your pre-shoot consultation I’ll help you choose a setting that suits your dog’s personality, your own personal limitations on travelling distance, and gives us the most magical light and backdrop.

  • Every session includes a pre-shoot consultation, a bespoke outdoor adventure in a handpicked location, and a fully guided experience tailored to your dog. After your shoot, you’ll be invited to a relaxed viewing appointment where you can choose from a carefully curated range of luxury artwork and digital collections.

Realistically, most clients invest between £500 and £2000 on their session and final artwork - but there’s no minimum product spend and no pressure to purchase. You’ll only ever invest in the images you truly love.

You can view my Portrait Collections (including investment details) on the [Sessions] page, and full product guides are available on request. Many clients come back time and again - not just for more photographs, but for the experience of celebrating their dog in such a meaningful way.

  • No problem at all! Safety always comes first, most of the dogs I photograph stay on lead and I use a little post-production magic to remove it from the final images. I will often offer a thin show lead for clients to use, but only if their dog is able to offer a steady position.

I prefer to use a loop lead (often used to show spaniels and terriers), as this style can be gently tightened to ensure the dog can’t slip out but won’t tighten further in the same way that a slip lead would should the dog move. BUT if your dog is uncomfortable in this set up we can work with their standard collar and lead, this is not a problem and I can just as easily remove this with a bit of editing magic.
